I bought a $32 pair of Ghinger 8" Razor edge sewing scissors yesterday, and I got home, and used them just to try and I nearly melted. It was like cutting butter. O... M... G... I've never owned a pair of scissors like these before, they're AMAZING. The guy at the store said I'd never need to buy any more sewing scissors again (barring that anyone uses them to cut cardboard and plastic like some husbands do). Anyway, I wanted to brag about my 'almost-birthday gift to myself' www.joann.com/joann/catalog.jsp?CATID=cat3194&PRODID=prd2890::GRIN:::

That is awesome! I have 6 pairs of Ginghers that I bought with my student discount of 40% off when I was in college. They need desperately to be sharpened. I haven't found anyone that I trust to do it yet. I heart Ginghers!

It's nice to have *real* sewing scissors. I've never had any that weren't just the standard fare. I had no idea scissors could cut so cleanly; it's a revelation. I think I will name them, and make them a special place on a silken pillow.
:::swoon::: I'm so spoiled with my new Husqvarna and the Ghingers! :::twirls around with ehr hands gripped by her cheek:: Weeeee!
Oh, and I can't not mention my so-called dress form; as ugly and utilitarian as the duct-tape, home-depot wood and shelf-bracket conglomeration is, I can only rave about having a form to work on that is shaped like me.
