Yes, we've discussed our heroes before, but who do you think is the best marriage material; the sort where love would last the longest, and the affection steady until the end?
Hmmm...
Should I have added Willoughby and Wickham? LOL

I had to vote for Capt. Wentworth. He still loved Anne even after she'd faded to a dowdy 27 year-old. LOL

I think Anne is the most sweet and noble of all the JA heroines.

I must admit I have always been a Mr. Darcy and Mr. Knightley kind of girl but after reading and watching Sense and Sensibility I have definitely fallen for Col. Brandon.

Okay, I had a heck of a time choosing just one. Both Captain Wentworth and Mr. Tilney I think would be excellent. Tilney would be my choice for a husband because I lurve him, but Captain Wentworth has proven how lasting his love is so he is the one I would recommend others to marry so he got my vote. I may have to change it to Tilney if my conscience makes me feel as though I've cheated him. He did choose silly Catherine even after his father let him know he was against it, that takes some kinda man.

Well it looks as thought Col. Brandon is the man of the forum :-)

Well it looks as thought Col. Brandon is the man of the forum :-) I was pulling for the Colonel all the way. But then I may be a bit partial toward military men. I've always been told there's something about a man in uniform (even if Brandon doesn't wear his much). ;D And no, I didn't vote

I am working on getting some pictures up for all to see. Lack of time, the photographer, and my ineptitude are slowing me down. But I promise there will be pictures forthcoming.

I just realized I hadn't voted on this yet, so I didn't even hesitate to vote for Col Brandon. Interesting that everyone swoons over Mr Darcy (Colin of course) but he got no votes. Of course I swoon over Alan Rickman.

Of course I swoon over Alan Rickman. Agreed :-) I like Darcy, but he's too moody for me. Nope, definately Brandon :-P I tried to get hubby to be an officer, but alas, he wants to be an English gentlemen. Hey, I'm happy he plays along :-)

I was battling between Brandon and Knightly but I have to choose Knightly. But the Colonel was a very close second

Oh Mariette I agree!
Knightley is such a gentlemen and his ever steady affections for Emma even through all of her mischief making really made it a tough choice. I had to go with Col. Brandon though something about military men and he was so well educated, thoughtful and determined.

I can't help it - I'm still a fool for Darcy! Perhaps I have watched Colin in P & P too many times, but despite his foibles, Darcy is seriously responsible (no gambling away the family estate for this one), loyal to those he loves, intelligent and SMOKIN' HOT!! (Not just thanks to Colin, though he does embody him to perfection).
I know I should vote for Col. Brandon's selflessness or Wentworth's steadfast heart, but Darcy's challenging passion still gets me every time; thus, I will cast the lone vote for Fitzwilliam - though I'm sure he would despise me for it!

I chose Darcy. I think he's great marrying material. It would be really hot & cold I would imagine, but it would still be lively and always interesting.

I agree with Mrs. Parker about Capt. Wentworth. He's already proved his lasting love.

Gaaaah!! I can't choose. Normally, I would select Mr. Tilney immediately, but there are so many competitors for the title of longest-lasting love. For me, personally, I still think he's the best choice. In general, though, another might possibly win out over him. Oh, how could you make this so difficult and force me to divide my loyalties? *swoons in distress*

alas, always a rebellious girl... envoking everyone's vexation by suggesting complete enchantment by Macfadyen's Mr. Darcy, the moodiness actually is intriguing, and he became so sweet with Elizabeth. alas, smitten.
