Oh how lovely!
I would give anything to attend! If only my portion hadn't been so meager....
However, I do hope you will continue to pay visits and keep us abreast of events. Though I may never score a voucher to Almack's, I would love to venture across the sea and attend one of your balls in the very near future.

Dear Miss Credit,
We would be remiss if we left out that there is a dance on Saturday evening at Mississinewa 1812.
Unfortunately I am unable to attend both the Grand Tactical and Mississinewa. Hopefully next year things will ease up and I'll be able to attend more events.

Oh Major I have not forgotten the dance in the least! It shall be an enjoyable evening for all, but how unfortunate that you shall not be in attendance. I was dearly hoping that we would get to meet and at least share a dance or two.

Thank you, ladies. (In my best Elvis voice) Thank you very much.
Things haven't really slowed down for me yet, maybe in a month or two, so I have to take a little time while at work to peruse my favorite boards. Hopefully I'll be more active again soon.
Miss Credit,
I have not forgotten the dance you promised, and I intend to collect. Perhaps at an event over the winter or next season. One of my Sergeants and I have been discussing doing an event or two with the 19th next year. I would love to come to Fort Meigs if I can swing it Memorial weekend, or we would really like to make Fort Erie as well. Although I don't know if there is a dance at those events (perhaps we'll have to wrangle some musicians to play for a while ;D ). Grand Tactical next year is doubtful for me, but Mississinewa 2009 is probable (one of my favorite events, and we usually camp near the 19th).
Cheers, Major
