Well I have finally made it down to join my husband in SoCal who has been down here since June 10th. The place we are living in isn't finished yet. we just got a toilet at the end of the day yesterday. It is crazy.

Val, What are you talking about? The weather is fantastic! I've always hated the heat, but I can't stand this humidity that we've had the last 6 or so years. We used to just get the dry heat from the desert. Give me 65d and greenery anyday. For me, SoCal is 15 miles inland from San Diego. Not too far from the Mexican border either.

I am a person who misses the Miami weather. 80 and air you can feel makes me happy. To me humid heat feels cooler than dry. Dry heat makes me sad.

I can't handle the heat. I've got that pasty Hungarian constitution and even the short dry Oregon summers of 90º-100º are simply too much for me to take. I'll take a nice, mild, rainy, year-round moss-growing-between your toes sort of climate, thank you. I get heat-stroke and sun-stroke, and sun-blisters so easily, I burn into lobster red in minutes, which promptly peels away in the most unattractive way.
In fact, I once was at a beach in San Diego for about 2 hours, and got a sun-blister that covered my entire nose.

I do not miss the desert one bit! I grew up in Lake Havasu City, AZ it's been in the cool 120's this week at my parent's house. I cannot bare the heat, it makes me super grumpy. I' glad you're enjoying SoCal, cosmo.
