Dixie Gun Works ( www.dixiegun.com/ ) has some great pieces with many appropriate for our period and all at really good prices. We use them to get our muskets for the 19th and I have been looking over a pair of pistols myself. You can also try www.militaryheritage.com/muskets.htm I know they supply many of the Canadian and British forces that are in Canada. I suggest checking them out since their prices are a little bit cheaper than Dixie Gun Works and they have a larger selection than them.

Ah yes. If only I had the money for, space to keep (and a need for) a cannon, Dixie Gun Works is where I'd do my shopping.

Goblin; I'm sure you could find some justification for this necessary posession; having one of these situationed facing the front door would certainly discourage any home invasions, and having it out in the garden would serve beautifully as a starling repeller and all around neighbor annoyer.... No excuse needed. There's already a proven need for owning one's own cannon.

I'd liek to get one for Dan someday. We're developing the 'Gentlemanly Pursuits' divison of the ORS, and we'll need to dig up resources so the boys can acquire the necessary toys to pursue their gentlemanly activities. Flintlocks are among those toys, as are swords, singlesticks, gambling paraphernalia, and all such things.

Yes, I am shocking, so naughty... I suppose it stems from my childhood. The girls never liked me so I played with the boys. I could easily play dolls and such with my grandmother and just as easily play war with the boys on the play ground. :-P

I don't recall Jane or Bingley shooting flintlocks together in any part of the book. ::teehee::
