I've been following the reviews of Lost in Austen (and written a couple myself), and notice that there is a subgroup that is actually quite taken with this time travel fantasy. The series plants Amanda Price in the middle of Price and Prejudice, and implausible plot which works quite well given that the film makes fun of regency conventions and Jane Austen film adaptations in general. In fact, I believe conventions are deliberately broken for the sake of a laugh. Click here to see the first two complete episodes on YouTube: www.youtube.com/view_play_list?p=DDAF96FDE0251437

I watched this with my mom and although I thought the series was cute and loved the costumes, I found it a little mary sue for my tastes and some parts were honestly just too embarrassing to sit through. My mom, on the other hand, absolutely loves it and is on her list of things to listen to at work. She says I'm just jealous and that's the only reason for my not absolutely loving it. To each their own though!

Hopelessly silly, but I enjoyed it. I particularly enjoyed seeing certain characters (notably Mrs. Bennet and Wickham) played rather differently than we are used to seeing. Some fine acting, even if the story is a bit ridiculous Even my husband was entertained!
