Made in England, using patterns designed by the potteries there. The most recent Royal Albert china is no longer being made in England but in Thailand, so it doesn't say where it's made on the bottom like the old ones. This is a description of what bone china is:& en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bone_china

Addressing the elegance question, there is a website that I have found that has been a helpful resource to me. It is elegantwoman.org. Eunice addresses everything from social grace, to physical appearance, and everything else you might possibly wish to know about elegance. Of course, there are some things that I disagree with her on, mainly in regards to personal appearance, but in general, hers are the best ideas of elegance that I have found so far.
