Hello again! Hope you are all well! I was wondering if anyone could help with outdoor games adults would play in 1806 or there abouts? I have researched it as much as I know how and have come up with very little!

I am sorry to be behind times with my reply, but perhaps you might try this at your next gathering. Why not Alphabet Squares, as described in Jane Austen's Emma? It would be a simple thing to fashion the squares from poster board or cardstock, and either use a period font or hand write the letters on. You could play a variety of ways: 1. Let one player pick out the letters of a word or phrase and hand them to another, scrambled, and see if they can make it out. (As played, with such painful results, in Emma) 2. You could use your "period" squares to play a homemade game of ( www.pedlars.co.uk/page_2343.html ) I hope I've helped!
