I couldn't figure out where to post this, so here it be. My San Diego Costume Guild had it's "Celebration of the engagement of the Dashwood sisters" yesterday. We started at the Elephant & Castle British pub for lunch, and then walked across the street to view the ships, The Star of India, and the HMS Surprise (filmed in Master & Commander). We went onboard for some fantastic photos. I think my red pelisse really made me stand out in the crowd. My bodiced petticoat worked out really well once it was tied tight enough, and I was able to get out of it, and my tied bodice on the gown quite easily by myself. www.pbase.com/cinnamonhrts/regency_engagement_party

Since Steph mentioned the gentlemen's costumes and I only had a few, I'm leaving the link to one of our member's photo website, who does most of the photography for our events now. He took quite a few of the gent's clothing. jerryabuan.zenfolio.com/p607281447

That looks like it was a lot of fun! I have every intention of getting to San Diego this summer to see the ships.
