How bizarre! What people spend money on! LOL.
As much as I despised the movie Titanic, I do like the elegance of the room that is themed Titanic. I can't deny my nerdness either, so I have to rave about the Enterprise-themed ones.
I love gothic elizabethan, traditional English, some Baroque and regency decor too much; I'd probably have wood paneling, portraits, arches, stone mullions, built-in cabinetry, fireplaces and cabriole legs as far as the eye can see.
I'd LOVE to take family photos and to have historic portraits made of the subjects from them.

I was the same way till my friend took me to see it. I adore it! I was so dead set against it because I thought they would much up all the factual stuff. My gran was living in Belfast when it was built so I was always a "titanic buff" and I must say, it was so very accurate clothes wise, facts wise, etc... I am a big fan.

Was it really? Hm...well may never is too strong of a word. well, the love story is fictional but I LOVE ROMANCE, but yes! the facts are very very well researched and documented and the ship is EXACTLY as it would have been. They even left the Strausses in the movie. Death on the Titanic; Travelling from Germany back to the United States, Isidor and his wife were passengers of the RMS Titanic when, on April 14, 1912, it hit an iceberg. Ida reportedly would not leave Isidor and refused to get in a lifeboat. The officer filling up the boat told Isidor that he could get into the boat with his wife, but he refused to before other men and instead sent his wife's maid, Ellen Bird, into the boat. Ida refused to board the half-full boat, saying "We lived together, so we shall die together". Isidor and Ida both died on April 12/13 when the ship sank. Isidor Straus's body was recovered by the Mackay-Bennett and was buried in Woodlawn Cemetery in the Bronx. Ida's body was not recovered. In the 1997 film Titanic, the Strauses are briefly depicted comforting each other as their stateroom floods with water, along with a deleted scene showing earlier Isidor (played by Lew Palter) attempting to persuade Ida (Elsa Raven) to enter the lifeboat.

I think another reason I could not watch this movie is the way people died. I am terrified of drowning. It is in my opinion, the worst way to die. I frighten easily and would probably have nightmares. I believe my imagination is much too vivid for my own good.

There is a lot before the sinking. But the sinking is very very very sad, and as is.
