Hi! My name is Kelly Anne Catherine, but for the purpose of this forum I dropped the Kelly... doesn't sound very appropriate for the era, to me. I've loved the Regency era ever since I was twelve and read Pride and Prejudice for the first time. Fashion and society at that time were so charming and I've wished for years that I could somehow be a part of it.
Recently my love for that time period was revived by the Malory series of novels by Johanna Lindsey. I know that those are romance novels with next to no literary or historical value, but I'm not ashamed to admit I love them. XD
To tell you a little bit about myself, I'm eighteen years old and I'm currently in college studying as an English major. I hope to be an English teacher one day, as well as a published author. As far as the Regency era goes, I would love to get involved in local events and I am attempting to learn how to make my own costumes. We'll see how that goes later on.
