Hi there folks. Just a note to introduce myself this evening. I am from Stockport, England known for hat making, textile mills and its historic market. I started making historic clothing about 6 months ago. I have so far dabbled in the 1700 and early to mid 1800s.My last project was a Spencer jacket and regingote with slash detail and a great number of bobbles - 50 down the fronts from only a picture. I also enjoy hat and bonnet making and "unmentionables". I mainly find that my lack of organiation and patience is an obsticle Ihave a tendancy to rush to see the finished product and also need to research more. Working, usually without patterns, sometimes ends in a great deal of frustration and sometimes my efforts (50 hours or more) end up in the bin even after 3 or more attempts. I think I need help - dont you!!n I dont sell my work in sewing or art but would like to exhibit or help in a theatre production or event. I look forward to looking at your site and making new aquaintances too. Regards Jannine Attachments:
