I'm so glad I found this site. My name is Nichole, an artist in Louisiana. Like many on this forum, I'm a huge fan of Jane Austen. Yes, the movies too.
Have you ever noticed how almost every period film has a scene in a family gallery? Handpainted portraits is a dying art, especially the gorgeous works in these great houses. Well, I love this time period so much that I wanted to bring them back, and I based them on the Regency era.
I got a lot of compliments for the ones I did for my private collection, so I decided to open an Etsy shop and offer historical portraits to whoever was interested. Hopefully this forum will inspire me more and keep me on my toes.
