Good day all,
My name is James Mesco, friend call me Jhim. I am new to this forum, and fairly new to the idea of Regency re-enactment. I visited Old Sturbridge Village in Connecticut this last fall, and fell in love with the period (free time and netflix didn't help, what with all the movies they have). I know there isn't currently a Regency Re-creation group in my area, but we do have an English Country Dance group that I am looking into joining. IF anyone knows of any Regency enactment in the Southern Nevada region, please don't hesitate to point me in the direction.
Many thanks to you all,
J. Mesco

A warm welcome to you, Mr. Mesco!
I know what you mean about all the period movies. Anytime I find a new one, I have to check it out! What are your favorites?
I do hope you find a group in your area. If not, do not despair, you may be able to form your own! This is what my friends and I have done. We are small, but growing, and most importantly, we are having fun recreating the Regency together. (We are in Nebraska.)
Good luck, and enjoy this forum!
Most kindly, Mrs. Eleanor Tracey

Welcome to our little corner of the world. We try to keep things spritely and fun. I do not know of any groups in your immediate city, but you may wish to check out this page of links: www.orregency.org/groups.htm There is a group or two in Arizona and New Mexico that perhaps are not too far for an enjoyable ride with your barouche. Cheers,

Mrs. Tracey,
Thank you for the warm welcome. My facourite film I must admit is Emma. Sadly, the "Watch Instantly" feature on NetFlix is limited to what I can see at this moment, but my what an impressive list to be sent to me (only need to ask my room-mate, it's his account).
The Major,
Thank you as well for the welcome. Happy to be here.
