As usual (sigh! lol) I really don't know the proper place to put this question. It's not really a "reticule" question (in terms of historical correctness! ;D). It's more of a (modern!) "ball" question: When you go to a ball...what do you keep in your reticule? Right now the only NECESSITY I can think of is my camera, lol. And a hanky for delicate daubing, because I'm a sweater. Maybe a little powder or lipstick, if it will fit? I have an event that is coming up, which will be four hours long. What will I really find that I need?

Camera, cellphone, tiny wallet w/ cash, ID, credit card, lipstick, keys. This is what I had in mine today while walking the antique show. At a ball, probably don't need the cell, and just have cash and ID loose. Dance card, maybe?

And....a dumb question, perhaps, but....do you carry your reticule with you the whole time? Even while dancing?

Today I had: My car keys, my ID, a cell-phone, checkbook, fountain pen, and everyone's payments for the tea.

I've only been to the Gala Ball at Costume College, and I left mine on the dining table with friends while I danced.
