I hope this is the right place to put this, The above museum has patterns taken from some of it's garments and I made up this one (you click on the square with the grid and download the PDF pattern from the link under the picture that comes up - make sense?) : tidenstoej.natmus.dk/periode1/dragt.asp?ID=8The big problems is the pattern is in Danish but I was able to get most of the text translated using a free online translater Drafting up was fine, the garment was for a very petite woman or for a youth so I did have to size up quite substancially (and I am not very large person). But it did go together really well. I changed a couple of things - I made the front bib a crossover and didn't put in the centre front slit and I made the sleeves a bit fuller. I gathered the back skirt instead of pleating and I also added my own embroidery design. Here is a photo in my gown and detail of the back.

Wow! Your gown looks beautiful, bravo on tacking the translation yourself. A friend of mine made this gown with assistance from Betsy Bashore but it doesn't look nearly as stunning on her.
I must admit for the longest time I knew she got the pattern from the Danish Museum but I could never figure out which one it was, now I see the difference is in the way you carry yourself.

WOW WOW WOW WOW!! That's my favourite gown hands-down in the museum an done of the best extants out there, and the back, oooh the back looks so beautiful~ I ordered embroidered fabric to replicate it, and then the woman stole my money and closed her etsy shop. ... So I have to come up with something else for the ball. Ida translated the pattern for me, but I haven't gotten to scaling let... I dont' know how it will work for a large girl, so that's good to know. BUT WOW!!! It's so PRETTY! The back... ::::drools:::::

Is there a closeup of the front? Thank you all so much for the very kind words, being appreciated by lovely ladies who know sooo much about Regency is really wonderful. I do have a close up of the front (below) but it was taken in the construction stage so there are pins and make do ties etc. I have had 3 regency events within a week. It has been wonderful and a few of us hope that the picnic we are having on Sunday will be an annual event (I will try and get some close up shots then for you all). i168.photobucket.com/albums/u171/lahoo88/progress/IMGP0775.jpg

This is beautiful. I love the clean look of it, and the embroidery along the hem is gorgeous. Good job!
