So, I have a wonderful pair of Fugawee Continental "Deeps", but both the heel and the toe are hobb-nailed onto the shoe.

Has anyone had any particular success in having a shoe maker modify their shoes to make sure they don't scuff and scratch the dance floor?

Just make sure you tell them it is for dancing or they may use a material that is too sticky for a dance floor.
