A writer friend of mine is in revisions for her Regency era novel and is in need of terminology expertise. It seems she needs an insult that would have been used against the French at the time. Discussion has been that the term "Frogs" might have been common, however, it may not have been used solely against the French. Does anyone know any better? Well, any better than that one should not, in fact, use such terms in polte society
