'A Day in the Life' at Rock Castle Hendersonville, Tennessee Jan 28th 2012 9am-4pm Come out and see what takes place over the course of an average day in the early 1800's on a cold and dark winter's day. Bear witness to the lives of ladies and gentlemen of the upper middling and upper classes as they indulge in reading, writing letters, playing at cards, light conversation, or perhaps even some needlework in the rooms of Rock Castle, an estate built in 1784. Costumed reenactors will be throughout the house showing what life was like during the War of 1812. All participants please bring: -A craft, book, letter, or period game to share with the group over the course of the day -One period appropriate food or drink for the group and your assorted utensils and dishes. Jane Austen Evening January 21, 2012 Pasadena, CA janeaustenevening.org/Tickets went on sale on Nov. 1st, and usually sell out within weeks. It is a two part event: tea and entertainments in the afternoon, and a ball in the evening, with the option for attendees to choose either a full day or only the dance in the evening.
