Greetings all, My real name is Kelly Gibson and I live in Rochester,NH. I have played in the Society of Creative Anachronism fr many years and although I have learned a great deal and made life long friends, and even though I have played everything from a Viking to a Keivian noblewoman, I want to branch out and try something new. My goal is to start a Regency Society here in NH. I see there is a Jane Austen Society in the Boston area it covers NH, but they aren't quite what I have in mind. There was at one time, English country dancing in the Seacoast area but I guess it's now only in Concord, which is almost an hour from me, so I would like t get a group together closer. I have always loved the era of the Regency the culture, customs and the important thing, the clothes...one of the reasons I joined the SCA at first. I look forward to ll the interesting conversations...
Yours, Kelley (to be known as Katerine Grey, hence forth)

A very warm welcome to you Katerine! I am also a cross-over from the SCA, and, like you, wanted to find something similar in a Regency era group. Finding nothing in the area, and friend and I decided to form our own group. We are in Nebraska.
I wish you luck in your endeavor! It can be a little difficult at times, but well worth it!
And here on this forum you will find a wealth of information. This is always my first stop when researching a new topic!
Kindly yours, Eleanor Fitzwilliam
