This is such a beautiful book. The photos are amazing. It is really great to get to see extant garments so close up. I thought that this book covers a broad range of styles and design details from the regency period. Menswear is not excluded. The descriptions are very useful to help understand period construction. The flat sketches that accompany the detail photos and descriptions are very clear and useful. I think Nineteenth-Century Fashion in Detail would make it much easier to reproduce an extant garment. I know that there is an excellent reproduction of one of the gowns on Koshka the Cats site.
