Hello fellow regency lovers. My name is Lady Geremia and I live in Florida. I have been a regency period fan for as long as I can remember. I frequently indulge in regency period books, movies and everything else I can get my hands on. (So, I can surely relate to being made fun of because I too speak a little on the odd side to most.) I've been happily married to a wonderful man for 13 years and we have 2 beautiful daughters. (Even married him for his title...he's a real, live descendant of the Italian Duke of Ravenna...unfortunatly the inheritance had been squandered many generations ago. Ha-ha!) I've always had a connection to that time period. The romance, the chivalry and the propriety. A time when men were gentle and women were ladies. Who wouldn't love that! If only the world could turn back the hands of time. Until that time, I guess I will be forced to remain the office clerk at our area elementary school and aspire to continue writing music and books on this beautiful era (I have yet to finish one, but one day I will.) In the mean time, my plan is to embrace all that is Regency, which is how I found this site. My hope is to one day in the near future develop our own little regency society here in Florida and come a little bit closer to living in the world I can only dream of. Thank you for creating such a wonderful website and community. I'm sure we will be great friends. -Lady Geremia

Actually, my Milanese relatives are mostly "in trade", though my great-great-grandmother was said to be "nobildonna". (And she may well have been born before 1820, so this is even vaguely on-topic.)
