Hello. My name is Kathy. I live in Louisiana and absolutely adore the Regency period. I have been a volunteer at a local battlefield where we do living history and represent the civilians who lived in New Orleans at the time of the Battle of New Orleans (1814-1815). We dress of the period and teach about the period. I study Jane Austen even though New Orleans at the time would have been more French...naturally with that comes studying Napoleon & Josephine. I look forward to joining in discussions and making new friends who share a fondness for a time long gone. [politely edited to add name to subject  ] |

Welcome, Kathy. How nice to have you join us. I hope that you will find our new little community all that you imagine it to be. We look forward to hearing more from you. I honestly never even thought about there being people in North America at the beginning of the 19th century. Which of course seems silly to me since I live here. You'll have to tell us all about it.
