Recently I decided that for my 30th birthday I want to throw a regency themed party, so I've been doing loads of research, and totally geeking out to my friends. I'm a Jane fan (doubtful there are many here who aren't!) and in '99 my mom and I travelled to England and saw some Jane sites. I can't wait to go back and see even more, with my boyfriend, as repayment for this summer's Robert E Howard Days... I am also the proud co-owner of three letterpresses (we are http://www.shopinviting.com) and am eager to experiment with regency motifs and styles, both in personal and professional designs. Taking my first English Country Dance class next month. Er, I think that's it. If there's anything I've left out that you want to know, just ask! -ashleym [thoughtfully edited to add member name to subject]

Greetings and Salutations Ashley!
Welcome to the boards. I, also, am new here. We have a local chapter of JASNA in my city and that is what started my "geek out" and research quest. You will find many kindred spirits and a wealth of wonderful advice on the RSA boards.
Please share more details about your party as it comes together. It sounds like great fun!
Sincerely, Tess

Welcome to the RSA Ashley! I love that name.
And I agree; I doubt you can find a non-Janeite amongst us. ::hee;:
