I've been admiring your ball and event photos. They're wonderful and it looks like so much fun! There is a lady at the afternoon tea with the MOST charming hat in a few of the images. I want to know who she is and where did she get that lovely hat? It's this lady in the yellow gown and the hat looks like it might be straw. Does anyone recognize themselves? Can you tell me more about the hat? ;D www.flickr.com/photos/orregency/1883343492/in/set-72157602943537386/

She is lovely, isn't she? I believe that's Susan Pasco. She is an accomplished seamstress and one of our Seattle members. She is also one of the two people who designed the "Mode Bagatelle" patterns sold by Ravenrook. She is one of the few ORS members who has only a 'snail-mail' address and telephone available, so I'm not sure how presumptuous it would be to give that information to you; however her friend (whose website listed below) would probably be happy to find out for you. Susan's ORS ball portrait is here: You can tell her gown was something to behold. We adore the Seattle group. Her friend is a corset/stay-maker; Marie Cooley, here's her website: members.aol.com/fittingrm/Perhaps Marie can help you.

Steph - Why did not every one (including you) have portraits done?

The board didn't feel the need to display theirs, and some folks didn't want theirs on the website. I hate being photographed and looked hideous in every photo, my hair was frizzy and it fell, and my skin was blotchy... so I refuse to display myself up there. Hubby did look cute though, Despite my waistcoat collar flub-up. I put the collar on UPSIDE DOWN, and then tacked the collar points down (on both the waistcoat and frock-coat) and both tack stitches popped, and his frockcoat collar puffed out and the waistcoat collar poked up. ANNOYING. I'll fix it this time though. He's getting a new frock-coat and waistcoat (breeches too, eventually). If you *MUST* see us... click this link. No laughing though. farm3.static.flickr.com/2010/2119308620_a70ee8b926.jpg

Please also note that my giant monoboob prevented my necklace from falling anywhere where it was supposed to go. I learned my lesson! And YES it is a day-dress... But I wanted a new day-dress in white that I could throw things over. It's a white cotton Jaquard, you can't see the subtle print, but it's there. I think I'm going to make the net dress to go over that white one for a summery dress. The red one is going to be fixed or retired, not sure.

Thank you for sharing and I think that the board should be required to share their photos since the poor new members like me are always dying to see pictures and there are never enough. I am a photo crazed fool. I think you look cute and the dress is adorable.

Thank you Steph! I'm dashing out this morning, but I'll get back to this thread later today!
