I am having a bit of trouble figuring out how to fit my mock up of my stays. My form doesn't allow the massive The directions say to have a friend pull it closed, but that is not really working. Should I just set in some cheap grommets?

What I have used in the past is curtain tape. It is Like cotton bias tape with grommets or rings already set in. You baste it in place to give you a temporary set of lacing holes. If you can't find that just make two 1 1/2 inch wide pieces of fabric with grommets and baste those to the edges. You can rip them off and re-sew them as you make alterations.

That's a brilliant idea.

That is a fantastic idea. Curtain tape, I will go look for it when I go back to the fabric store today or tomorrow.

I didn't find curtain tape, but I found grosgrain ribbon with eyelets in it. I think it worked well.
