How long should my long stays be and how high should the girls be lifted? I am not sure that I am not to short waisted for my stays. It lifts my bust point to my armpit and wrinkles a little at my thigh if I sit.

Armpits seems right, at least for me... but it's too long if it's interfering with your sitting down. I could be wrong

Your stays should not push up your bust when you sit down. If they do then either the stays are too long over all or the busk is too long. Your busk should only go from the top of your stays to above your pubic bone when you are sitting. If the stays are longer than that, finish off the busk pocket at the length the busk needs and allow the fabric to bend and fold naturally below the busk.
If boning at the front of the stays (and beside the busk are the problem, then you need to either shorten the stays or shorten the boning by sewing a "stop" at the bottom of the boning channel. Again, allow the fabric below the boning to fold naturally.
Repeat: Your bust should not be pushed up when you sit down.
Other than that, early Regency was a very high bust.

I am going to have to take a photo of the mock up after my chemise is finished and ask you to give your opinions.
