So I am having a problem deciding on a white evening gown design for the February ORS event. I was going to do a gown from a painting, but now I don't have time to do the sleeve that I was thinking of. I am looking for a fairly simple white gown that is not plain. Any suggestions?

Look at Lizzie's wedding gown or her ballgown. It's simple but has some very subtle embellisments.

Thanks. I'll have to look those up.

I really paid attention to the costumes yesterday. I'm really keen on reproducing her black spenser with a pleated lower half added to it, and her Ruched rust-coloured bonnet.

I'm really keen on reproducing . . . her Ruched rust-coloured bonnet. Austentation has a bonnet like that called the Charlotte. I am sure that you could order the base that they used and cover it yourself if you didn't want to order it already made. www.austentation.com/Boutique/html/charlotte.htm

Yes, I love that spencer. The collar especially. The lapels don't work for a lady with a larger..... bosom.... so I like the lines of it.

I love lapels, but I like to draw attention to my bosom, especially post baby.
