I accidentally put this in the wrong place so I deleted it and am putting it where it should be. Sorry, I'm still learning. I have this really pretty sari type material that I love and was wondering if it could for a dress and look period. The bottom of the fabric is my favorite part. It is a soft pink with delicate gold flowers on it. The picture doesn't really show it well. What is appropriate? I know that the regency period took after the greeks and that simple and flowing is perferred. I've seen a lot of pure white, but also some very lovely colors.

It's a small rollled print with a nice border print, it looks fine. Go for it! People use sari fabric all the time for ballgowns. BTW, it's GORGEOUS

very nice! You can lay the pieces of the pattern so the the border is at the bottom of the skirt OR cut the borders off and the re sew them on as decorative edges on the neckline, sleeve cuffs d skirt bottom!

I totally messed up because I found I had just a little bit less fabric...I'm going to salvage it for a bonnet and trimmings for other dresses. Alas, that is what happens when you experiment with pretty fabric.
