His sideburns have a funny story. He always has had sideburns, but he asked me three weeks ago how he should grow them. So we went online and looked at various paintings from the period as well as movie stills and he decided he loved the pointed look. So here he is. :-) He definately caters to my whims :-)

What fun, what fun! You looked sooooooo lovely! Your dress fit so well and your hubby looked smashing! Did you say your dress pattern was from S&S? It was very elegant. I wish I could sew like you ladies I'm starting my chemise and actually am intimidated by it You Oregon folk have so may wonderful events to attend. Not fair, not fair!

Did you say your dress pattern was from S&S? Yes it is an S & S pattern. It's the Elegant Ladies Closet. I love it! It's very simple to sew and the instructions are quite clear. I just ordered their undergarment pattern. I can't wait to try my hand at the short corset. :-)
