I decided to make an 'inspirational' bonnet for next Saturday's workshop. I used a soft, floppy bonnet I got at a local discount store for $5; the brim is very bendy and flexible. I wanted something muted and gentle, so I went with a thicker sage-coloured home-deco fabric... and then used some 'silk' flowers to embellish it (which i didn't do with either of my first bonnets). I also used a white-work, scalloped edge lace for the brim lining. I may keep it to raffle, or I may just ebay it. It depends since I'll be making yet another one on Saturday (maybe two). Please ignore my messy office; I brought it to work to photograph it. You'll probably recognize my familiar cap underneath: The only problem I have with it is that I thougth I had centered the seam on the bottom back, and it shifted when I was gluing, so it's off center. AAAH! Otherwise, I think it's the prettiest soft bonnet I've made yet.

Beautiful Steph! You've done so well in such a short period of time in learning how to make these. This one came out gorgeous. **Edited to add--the last photo in the lighting makes it look like a brown bonnet, and a very pretty one at that.

I put it on ebay. I already got an enquiry from a lady in Hampshire, UK... asking if I ship internationally. ::heh::
