But I *had* to share this because I'm so proud of how it turned out. ::hee hee:: Isn't it cute? I did it on my break here using recycled paper and a sharpie and coloured it with some really cheap erasable coloured pencils I found in the supply closet. I drew it for Tara's birthday... she really likes hedgehogs and I adore chipmunks.

Awwww! It’s adorable!
Steph, I totally understand the ‘want to share’ thing! Your work is delightful and I’m so glad you share.
I went to art school for my ‘first career’ way back in the late 1970’s early 1980’s and it’s easy to tell that you’re very talented.

Wow! That's impressive. Have you considered a career in cards and other goods with your artwork? Marmeecraft seems to do well with it.

I love it! I'm a big Beatrix Potter fan, and she has some wonderful hedgehog pics in her collection of work. I love chipmunks too. When my parent were young they rescued an injured 3-legged chipmunk and raised it. Very sweet and funny little creatures. Her blue bonnet is especially cute The look on her face is perfect (it is hard to get expressions right and you did). Bravo! Of course, we'll all be getting personalized Christmas cards...right? ::hee, hee::

That would look so pretty as a tea invitation.

My sister said the exact same thing, Val. She was like "OMG, I keep telling you to become an illustrator, and to make cards from some of your stuff! Why don't you believe me?!" She gets really mad at me for not doing anything with my animal drawings. She's been crazy about them since I did her 'five oaks friends' Christmas set, based on some of the more notable animals on her farm. I might start doing cards or something one of these days. We'll see. I just dread turning something I enjoy into a drudgery.
