Hello, all
I am located in Portland, OR, and I just discovered these boards and the Oregon Regency Society a few weeks ago. I enjoy historical costuming from the middle ages up through the late victorian period, and I'm thrilled to have found you ladies (and chaps).

Miss Anna, Welcome! We are so very glad to have you join our little group! Alas, I am not from Oregon and am consistently jealous of all the fine activities you have available to enjoy with the ORS.
I hope to find our more about your other costuming experiences as we chat on the boards.
Sincerely, Tess

Welcome, Anna. I'm fairly new to the board, myself. A former SCA member, I'm now concentrating on the 19th century. I'm pleased to see a fellow decade-jumper.

Hello Anna. Welcome to the RSA (and to the ORS I hope). ::hee hee:: We're always pleased to welcome new folks into our midst. At our bonnet workshop yesterday, I was very pleased to be told by one of our attendees said that she's been part of various reenactor groups, and that the regency group was hands-down the nicest group she'd ever participated in. I hope you'll join us in some of our local events. And again, welcome Anna!

Miss Anna,
Welcome to our little corner of the web. Here you will find good people, help when you ask, and a polite society. If you are located in the OR area, you will be able to enjoy the ORS and their events. Altho' I've never been to one, the pictures of their events look wonderful.
Anyway, welcome and we look forward to polite conversation.

Welcome, Anna. I am so glad that you found us. I must say that the ORS is the only thing I've found in Portland that has made me feel at home. I only wish that they had a cottage/clubhouse that I could spend all of my free time in.

Thank you all for your welcome. It's lovely to have found the group.
Does the ORS hold some kind of sewing circle in Portland?
