Hello to everyone, my name is Giacomo and i am writing from Peru. I am a historical costume designer and have a preference if not to say an obsession (lol) for the first part of 19th century (from about 1800 to 1830). I have just finished a personal project of creating some male costumes of that period! I know this forum is for US residents but we dont have one here so i joined this one to share ideas about our favorite period. [stealthily edited to add the username to the subject line] - Admin

Dear Giacomo, this forum is not just for Americans, Promise! We have members from Denmark, Australia and the UK-- all are welcome to the RSA forum.
I'd like to extend my bienvenidos to you, Giacomo. I'm looking forward to pictures of your projects, I hope you feel free to share them with us. Many of us, including me are not too proud to say we *are* obsessed with costume from this period, and we are always happy to see projects by new people!

dear admin, where should i post pictures of my projects? The costumes thread has many sub-boards, but if you're posting men's wear, then this thread would do: regencysa.proboards59.com/index.cgi?board=menYou can post pictures if they're already uploaded to a hosting site like Flickr. You just click this icon: and the code will come up [ img ] [ / img ] and you paste your photo's URL location between the two sets of brackets. Like so: [ img ]yourphoto'surl.jpg[ /img ]

Welcome, indeed. Many of us also build men's clothing of the period and would take great delight in seeing your creations.

www.flickr.com (up to 200 photos free) You can find the appropriate thread under costumes and patterns. Don't worry. If they're men's costumes, there's a men's thread, and so on.
