I've been costuming off an on for 20 years in a wide range of subjects and areas. I have a fondness for full mens tailoring which makes people wonder about my sanity.
I am working on a site to host past projects and pattern drafting and scaling, so eventually you can see some of the steps and techniques.
I take critique as encouragement, don't be shy.

Welcome Erik. It's nice to have more gentlemen here, especially those interested in costuming, and even better having a lady friend who also does.

Welcome, Erik! I was so pleased to find your extremely thorough comments on some of the posts in the costuming section. It is so lovely to have another gentle man here to answer questions about men's wear.

So glad you have joined us Erik! I have only recently begun sewing (I just finished my first project, a chemise), so I am in perpetual awe of the talent the abounds on this site. Glad you are here to increase the knowledge base I love learning....good thing I have lots to do! Tess

Welcome Erik:
As others have mentioned, there are few gentlemen who are interested in the proper cut and fit of 19th century garments.
Welcome to the group. May I ask what other periods you have done? Mine have ranged from 1st Century A.D. Rome to WWII. After losing all my Living History clothing in Hurricane Katrina (and everything else as well), I now concentrate on War of 1812/Regency era.
Sincerely, Madame Dufour

Dear Erik, may I formally welcome you to the board. We are thrilled to have another costuming gentleman. We hope you'll share photos of your projects so we can all swoon at the elegance of it all.
