Because of our financial situation, my husband is seriously tossing around the idea of taking a position with his company where he would be required to be on a wind-farm construction site through the construction period; which means he will be gone six weeks at a time, back for a few days, and then gone again.
The pay is almost too good to pass up, and it would allow us to catch up on our finances, and also be able to set aside money for an actual travel-vacation (I haven't had one since 1995). We could also start to save money aside from our 401Ks and such; and of course, have a little more freedom to buy a new car, etc.
The plus side... No more complaining about the dining room table covered in sewing projects.
The negative side... Lonely, lonely, lonely.

This sounds like a good oportunity that's too good to pass up. It will help him feel better being able to be a breadwinner. Just keep yourself busy, and make lots of bonnets to sell in the meantime. Freedom of house is sometimes a good thing. And when he returns, do something special.

It sounds worthwhile (although I know how hard it is to be apart). Now would be the time to do it, before you have children (still keeping my fingers crossed for you in that regard).

My specialist gave me 'Clomid' for this cycle to iniate ovulation. Maybe we'll hit that proverbial ball out of the park this time. ::crosses fingers too:: (although if Dan goes away, I'm not sure how we'll do that.)

I'm more than sure it will be a good thing. We talked about it at length yesterday, okay, more than just 'talked' a few clicks higher in volume than just talking at some points, but it's something that is entirely necessary.
He won't leave immediately though.

Hang in there Steph. It will be hard, but hopefully good things will come out of it.
There is a repeating line from the movie Shakespeare in Love where Geoffrey Rush's character says "Not to worry, things will work out" and everyone cries "But HOW!?" and he always gets dreamy and says, "I don't know...it's a mystery."
I hope the mystery of life works in your favor. ::hug::
