How crude of me. I nagged and nagged for pics of you in your costume, and then didn't bother to tell you how WONDERFUL youlook! I love the pose in your avatar. ::teehee:: Thanks for sharing all your CC pictures...
I love the gold trim. I think your costume came out really beautifully.

I love the gold trim. I think your costume came out really beautifully. Thank you Steph. I really think all the extra glitz really made it fabulous. I've always held back on a lot of trim, and it seemed I didn't get much response to my costumes. This time all the gold trims, and even little crystal beads that I sewed on the neckline really made it stand out. So I learned my lesson, at least for ballgowns. Day dresses will stay bland.

Oh Val, I can't believe I forgot to post after your pictures! I looked at all of them one day at a coffee shop and was enthralled! Your blue princess dress was PERFECT and you looked so lovely! The trim did really set it off well (that color blue is really good on you, BTW). It looked like such a fabulous time and I hope someday to go. I love the steampunk outfits as well. Thanks for sharing and sorry about my manners!

Thank you Tess. I did get a lot of compliments on that color blue, so I may have to keep my eyes out for it in other things as well. The Steampunk is really fun!

Val, I'm so glad you posted the link again! Obviously more than one of us missed it the first time. (It probably vanished under the old “15 recent posts” before I saw it!) I had been wondering about pictures of you in your lovely Regency gowns. You look gorgeous! The blue makes for SUCH pretty pictures and the glitter of the trim is SO pretty. I loved looking at the other CC pictures in you file. Wonderful! How I’d love to make a visit to CC some day! Were there any photos of the pink over gown? I’d love to see that one as well! In fact, amongst ALL the CC photos I saw, I don’t think I saw anything that looked like a “pink princess theme”. Did I make that idea up in my head? (It’s certainly possible – I confuse myself regularly! ) I thought there was a “pretty princess” reason for the lovely pink gown. Please? Pictures of the pink??? ;D

Thank you Dawn. I kinda thought maybe it did get lost in the 15 threads. Nope, no pictures of the Pink Princess. It was a late night party, and I didn't get dressed until 8pm. Then I forgot my camera, and everyone was partying so much I didn't see any cameras taking pictures. All I have is the one I took at home in the mirror before it was done. www.pbase.com/image/102603962I hope to someday put it on again and have a picture taken. I decided I really like that color of blue too. I got lots of compliments on it. In fact bright darker colors seem to have more pop to them. I'm currently working on a couple 1770s gowns that one is a burnt orange moire tafetta. It's just yummy, and will look awesome with the gorgeous lace I bought for sleeve flourishes. I've been doing the flatlining on three of the bodices the last couple days, and will be sewing them together today. I can send you a picture of them since this is a Regency board, not "all costume". But I'll be posting it on LJ too. That said, I always seem to think I'm going to get more done that is possible, since things get busy sometimes and it doesn't happen.
