Hello everyone. I love to sew, and have aided and abetted several costume entries at science fiction conventions (though I haven't planned any yet). I sometimes think my hobby is mostly *planning* sewing projects and buying fabric-I have a hard time getting them done. My daughter outgrew most of the the clothes I was making before I finished them! I have planned several Victorian outfits, and then I outgrew my corset and, of course, you have to start from the inside out. I have recently discovered Georgette Heyer, and I think the high waisted dresses would be flattering and fun to make--I think it would be fun to wear one to my DH's Christmas party this year. I live in San Diego, and have a 10 year old boy, an 8yr old girl, three cats, a dog, a box turtle, a rat and several fish.

Nice to have you aboard! I know what you mean about planning costumes. That happens to me all the time. I like planning the outfit and getting the fabric and then never get around to actually sewing it.
