Hello. Well, I have been into reenacting for a long time and I jump from period to period. I am a college student majoring in history. I have always been very into the Regency as my number 1 favorite movie of all time is the 1995 Pride and Prejudice. My mom is a very talented seamstress and she has always made my reenacting clothes. She is teaching me how to be more patient with sewing and how to do it all myself. I can't wait to get further into Regency reenacting. Unfortunatly, out here in New Jersey there isn't much of an interest. It is mainly Rev War but I hope to get some girls from college interested in making a group. We will see!

Hey Sarah! Don't think there's no interest, you just need to create the group, and pester every reenactment, sewing, dancing group you can find, I sure you'll find some people to take tea with in Regency costume. Bug me for advice if you're serious about starting a group.

Welcome Sarah! How lucky to have a mom to help with your re-enacting garb. I agree with Steph about starting a group in your area. Jane Austen fans are everywhere.

I have met so many people involved in re-enactment this past year. I must admit I know zilch about it, any combination with me and "acting" in the same subject is always a flop - perhaps that is why. But it DOES sound fun! I will have to look into it, and then pepper you all with questions. :-)
