There are quite a few members in the ORS that live in your neck of the woods. Be sure to talk to me on Friday (I'm Stephanie--the ORS tyrant dictator) and I'll introduce you to Thea, who is the head honcho for ORS Central Valley Chapter; and they have several events during the year for the central valley folks.
Look forward to seeing you at the Ainsworth House on Friday. I'd be happy to give you tips on dresses. Cosmo is right... about the 'little white dress'... I've made two recently for friends and they were about $20 worth of muslin. Not bad, eh. They're not sheer, because it negates the need for a petticoat, but they work as day and can be glammed up for an evening event. One of my gowns will be debuting on Friday, so we can examine it on the lady I made it for.
I have a similar body shape and size as you; and I have no problem cobbling together looks for myself. I'm a 42DDD, so it's important I have a long stays with a busk.. however, I digress... we will discuss these things further on Friday. I'll be the one in a white embroidered gown.
Where so many hours have been spent in convincing myself that I am right, is there not some reason to fear I may be wrong? ~ Jane Austen

I'm actually not going to make it to the Ainsworth House event! I am scheduled at work I'm hoping to make it to later events though. I just need to plan in advance so I can ask for the day off from work! I'm really interested in the "What not to wear" workshop! I think I'll try to make it!
