I didn't have a chance to post this back in December so I thought since I had a moment I would breath. LOL. So this dress is modeled after the 95 Pride and Prejudice dress where Eliza is walking through the 'park' and says that she has had a sudden headache... (I've watched the show a million times...) The dress is a Gathered Bodice, with long sleeves and hidden away snaps down the back of the bodice. The fabric is thin cotton what is white with blue and pink vertical strips. I lined the bodice with white cotton and wear a petticoat under it. I will make another bonnet to match this dress as well as a spenser, and hopefully will get to wear this to the August Jane Austen Picnic. i665.photobucket.com/albums/vv13/CelticGoddess81/Gathered%20Regency%20Bodice/RegencyDressGatheredbodice004-1.jpgThis is the Photobucket album, feel free to see all the pictures taken that day... s665.photobucket.com/albums/vv13/CelticGoddess81/Gathered%20Regency%20Bodice/Lady Eliza

It didn't take me long at all, but I have been sewing since I was very young. The pattern is very easy and has room for many alterations. Ironically I got the fabric at Walmart for a Dollar a yard and when I saw it I knew it would make a smashing Regency Dress. If you need additional help with your dress (not sure which pattern you are using... but if you are using the Simplicity or the Sensibility pattern) you can always check the Sensibility web site (Sensibility.com) for the detailed instructions and easy alterations. I put my bodice piece off the centerfold about two or three inches and then gathered it in. Hope this helps! ~|Lady Eliza
