First off, I’d like to apologize for taking so long to get this information out. I was waiting to hear back regarding the location of our upcoming picnic, and had to find alternate arrangements for a place to hold our event. Due to some unforeseen problems we’re going to be holding the event at Stone Mountain, not in Cartersville. After a couple weeks of scouting around, looking for a location with decent parking and public restrooms, this is the best location we could find on short notice. I’m sorry for the inconvenience.
Please note there is NO attendance cap on this event, but I would ask that you RSVP so I know how big of an area to grab when we get there. Also, while we prefer that you wear Regency Clothing, it is not required.
We will be holding our picnic at the Stone Mountain Park, at 11:30 until whenever. The day we’re there, they will be holding a yearly living history festival called Frontier Days that you can attend if you wish following our picnic. We will be meeting up at the “Triangle Picnic Area” at 11:30 to begin our day. You can find it on the Stone Mountain Park Map between the letters H and I. I also have a Google Map to the Picnic Grounds that you can insert your own address into, to get detailed directions. After we are done everyone is welcome to go over to the festival, which is a short walk away over to the Antebellum Plantation area – By letter N -, or go to other areas of the park, or do whatever else you might wish.

tinyurl.com/cl7n77Parking: There are a number of parking lots, the closest being the Crossroads Lot and two other smaller lots (you can see these on the maps), but there is also the Yellow Daisy Lot as well which is relatively close as well.
Cost: There is no fee to come to the picnic itself, but Stone Mountain Charges $10 per car to park, and it’s $10 per person to go to the Frontier Days festival.
What to bring: Each person is responsible for bringing their own picnic fare, blankets, plates, utensils and so on. Stone Mountain holds a policy of up to six tables per group without a reservation and I will attempt to get there early enough to grab some, but I can’t promise anything. Sunscreen and bottled water are also recommended!
If you get to the park and aren’t sure where to go, there are lots of rangers and employees on site to help you. You can also call me on my cell phone, as I should be there early to “stake out” a spot.
Hope to see you all there! Let me know if you’ve got any questions or if there’s anything else I can do for you! My email address is info@garegency.org
