My hubby just spent the evening having his appendix removed. I am curious if anyone has had theirs out and what was recovery like? I want to make things as comfortable for him as possible for when he comes home. Poor guy

I've only had my sis in law have it about 20 years ago, so I can't remember what all she did. Sending my best for his recovery. He'll appreciate all the *mothering* you give him. In fact, he'll suck it up if he's anything like other guys. ;D

He was fine on Saturday but by about 11:00 am on Sunday he had an upset stomach that he thought was gas or indigestion of some sort. Then by 12: it was severe pain and by 1:00 he was on his way to the urgent care clinic who then told him to go to the ER.

No advice. Just wanted to say I'm sorry and I hope he heals up quickly.

I also have no advice (while my mother and brother have both had appendicitis, I was not around in either case), only sympathy.

The Hubby is Finally home and sleeping. ;D He has three tiny incisions on his abdomen and is on pain meds. He is off work for two weeks which means my house is going to feel crowded in about a week.
